SARS COVID 19 lockdown

Like many other countries in the world, Corona virus is got everyone in their second month of either total lockdown of some level of social distancing. Its not uncommon to see the entitled white american demand for their rights to freedom and haircuts while holding assault rifles on the same government building steps that had 2 black Americans arrested and fined for going to buy some food a week before.

I’ve since learned not to watch the news for fear of biasing my thoughts and harshly judge the good people of the land of opportunity for voting a yellow Cheetos to office. (but ooh boy are they about to learn from their mistakes ie if they can learn anything without the desire for denial)

Enough of that tangent.. Phwe it really can turn into a black hole if you don’t pull yourself together,,, Allow me to give you an idea of what my daily schedule is like; I am one of the few people that still get to go to office on account that i work in essential services (Essential services may refer to a class of occupations that have been legislated by a government to have special restrictions in regard to labour actions such as not being allowed to legally strike) Nonetheless i get to go into office every other week many thanks to exstence of something called Business continuity planning (BCP) (the process involved in creating a system of prevention and recovery from potential threats to a company) in other words, one half of the company population should never get to meet the other half during the epidemic.

Allow me to reel myself out of that second wormhole before i get Einstein spacetime field equations excited… So, the question is, whats my day like on the week that i am on lockdown ie indoors practicing social distancing.. [Dafaq if i know?] My first memories of cognitive dissonance lie with my sleep pattern that was all over the place.

It started with an afternoon nap that lasted longer that any nap should and cumulatively spilling over into my night time (i come alive in the night time) cant believe i just quoted drake and before you know it, i am awake at night and asleep in the day… Guess what i did in my wisdom of cognitive Coping with the nuances of contradictory ideas? Tried to forced myself to sleep and night wile lazily sneaking in a daytime nap.

You see, to function in the reality of modern society, human beings continually adjust the correspondence of their mental attitudes and personal actions; such continual adjustments, between cognition and action, result in one of three relationships with reality

  1. Consonant relationship: Two cognitions or actions consistent with each other (e.g. not wanting to become drunk when out to dinner, and ordering water rather than wine)
  2. Irrelevant relationship: Two cognitions or actions unrelated to each other (e.g. not wanting to become drunk when out and wearing a shirt)
  3. Dissonant relationship: Two cognitions or actions inconsistent with each other (e.g. not wanting to become drunk when out, but then drinking more wine)

I guess by now you see my sleep dilemma from the above examples…

Talking of dilemmas, there are freedoms that come with living alone / working from home and the need to keep laundry basket empty [read Nudity].. lets put a pin in it here and do an english quiz

He got used to nudity. Winter arrived : Join the 2 sentences beginning with No sooner….
